Wax Foundation Sheets require bubble wrap and newspaper packaging. The sheets weigh roughly 90g each however the volumetric weight is how the courier service charges for this item.

It is recommended to order at least 10 sheets at a time. By doing this, you save on courier fees per sheet or order as well as ensure the wax sheets have enough material in a package to make it secure to courier with a shipping company.

Sometimes the wax sheets are seldom available due to the season and low supply of beeswax.

Beekeepers use the foundation sheets to guide the honeybees on where they should build in the honey frame. Many beekeepers use the full wax sheet in each brood frame. Personally, I prefer not to do so in the brood chamber as the wax comb needs to be serviced every 2-3 years anyway.

Thus you lose the sheet each time you service the frame and remove the wax comb to allow the bees and especially the queen to lay in the virgin wax comb.
